The 2016 Camaro is continuing Chevrolet’s tradition of excellence with unmatched engine power and coupe lines that Camaro lovers have come to know and love over the years. However, there are some new things to look forward to as well. And it all starts at the top!Yes, the 2016 Camaro is losing its top, meaning it will be available as a convertible! GM announced this big change in June, and we at Heidebreicht are excited to see this innovative vehicle arriving to our lot in Washington very soon! The traditional metal roof will be replaced with a fully automatic electro-hydraulic top. It can be opened and closed with the key fob, or while driving at speeds up to 30-miles per hour.

Constructed with multiple layers that consist of acoustic and thermal barriers, Al Oppenheiser –  Camaro Chief Engineer – promises that:

“Customers will appreciate what they don’t feel: quivers, cowl shake or an under-damped chassis typically found in a four-seat convertible.”

Even with such a drastic change to the overall shape and ability of the Camaro, it sounds like it has been engineered to give drivers and passengers as great an experience as we have come to expect from past generations of Camaros. From Washington down to Utica and Sterling Heights, if you want to find out more about the new Camaro, stop by the Heidebreicht showroom, where we would love to talk with you about how to get you in a fantastic new Chevrolet. The best part of all? It won’t be long until you’re able to drive one of these exciting, new Camaros for yourself!
