The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has recently been named one of the semi-finalists for the 2020 North American Car of the Year Award. The Corvette is just one of 12 cars chosen as semi-finalists for the prestigious award.
A distinguished panel consisting of 50 journalists serve as the jurors for the competition. From October 8th to 10th, the jurors were able to evaluate the cars as they participated in an annual comparison drive in Michigan.
At the LA Auto Show on November 20th, the three finalists of the car category will be announced. The winner of the 2020 North American Car of the Year Award won’t be revealed until the beginning of 2020.
It’s not surprising that the 2020 Corvette is a semi-finalist in this competition. Its 6.2-liter direct-injection V8 engine pairs with a seven-speed manual transmission to achieve 455 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. You can also opt for an eight-speed automatic transmission with the engine.
