2024 Chevrolet Trax Basics
The Trax returns for 2024 with five available trims, including the muscular ACTIV and the sporty 2RS. All trim levels offer a roomy interior with seating for five and 60/40 split-folding second-row seats. With the seats folded, the Trax has a maximum cargo volume of 54.1 cu. ft.
All Trax trims are powered by a 1.2-liter turbocharged engine that produces 137 horsepower and 162 lb.-ft. of torque. Together with a 6-speed automatic transmission, this powertrain yields an EPA-estimated 28 MPG city and 32 MPG highway.
New for 2024
The Trax has been completely redesigned for 2024, with a more athletic design, 3 extra inches of rear legroom, and almost 6 cu. ft. of additional cargo space. The infotainment systems get larger screens, with a standard 8-inch touchscreen and available 11-inch touchscreen display. Wireless smartphone connections are standard, while wireless phone charging and adaptive cruise control are added as options. LED headlamps and daytime running lamps are also standard this year.
Advanced Safety
Chevy Safety Assist is added as a standard feature for 2024, which includes six safety systems that can help to prevent a collision. One of these features is Forward Collision Alert, which can monitor what’s ahead of your vehicle and warn you if there’s a potential collision, or if you’re following too closely. At speeds between 5 and 50 mph, Automatic Emergency Braking can automatically apply the brakes to prevent or reduce the impact of a collision.
