Heidebreicht Chevrolet Sales Rise in September

Washington, MI 10/5/2011 – Chevrolet sold a total of 147,611 cars, trucks and utilities in September, an increase of 22 percent over the same month a year ago. For the first nine months of the year, total Chevrolet sales are up 15 percent over a year ago. Chevrolet sold a total of 18,097 Cruze in September, and a total of 212,019 sales since the fuel-efficient compact car was introduced in September 2010. More than 80 percent of Cruze sales have been to individual retail buyers, of whom two out of five are new to General Motors. Consumer demand for the Cruze helped Chevrolet record 13 consecutive months of retail sales gains. In addition, retail sales of Chevrolet cars are up 35 percent for the first nine months of 2011, contributing to a 23-percent increase in retail sales for the entire brand. “Strong September sales demonstrate that Chevrolet trucks and utilities, along with fuel-efficient cars and crossovers are contributing to Chevy’s continued sales growth,” said Jenna Arcari of Heidebreicht Chevrolet. “The broad Chevy lineup of cars like the Cruze, match the appeal of Silverado, Traverse and Equinox, demonstrating that Chevy’s transformation is bringing new Metro-Detroit customers to our dealership.” Chevrolet is introducing five all-new cars in just three years: the Cruze and Volt, which went on sale in late 2010; the Sonic, which went on sale in August of 2011; and the all-new Spark and Malibu that will be introduced in 2012.
