Visit the captivating Loren Andrus Octagon House, one of the town’s most revered historical sites. The house boasts a beautiful 55-step spiral staircase leading to a cupola that provides an all-encompassing view of the former 320-acre Andrus family farm.
Loren Andrus constructed the brick house between 1858 and 1860, guided by Orson Squire Fowler’s book, A Home For All. The house is designated as a State of Michigan Historic Site and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
