At Heidebreicht Chevrolet, we’re proud to be about more than just great cars — we’re about community, compassion, and making a real difference in the lives of children and families facing overwhelming challenges. That’s why this year we’re thrilled to support Team Heidebreicht in the 2026 St. Baldrick’s Foundation fundraiser — an inspiring effort to fund life‑saving childhood cancer research.
What Is St. Baldrick’s and Why It Matters
The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer‑powered nonprofit dedicated to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers. Since 2005, St. Baldrick’s has awarded hundreds of millions of dollars in research grants and has become one of the largest charitable funders of childhood cancer research in the world.
Every two minutes a child somewhere in the world is diagnosed with cancer — and research is the key to giving these brave kids a lifetime beyond their diagnosis. Your support helps fund novel treatments, improve quality of life, and support researchers who are determined to end childhood cancer for good.
Team Heidebreicht: Raising Funds, Shaving Heads, and Inspiring Hope
Team Heidebreicht is stepping up once again — not just by showing up, but by shaving heads in solidarity with kids who lose their hair during cancer treatment. Their goal for the 2026 event was $5,000, and through generous donations and community support, they’ve already raised over $7,000 and counting!
Our team is made up of dedicated members of our dealership family and local community, including Pat O’Dell, who earned the distinguished title of “Crusader for a Cure” this year in recognition of his 15th season of service, and Joseph Slicker, who achieved the rank of “Knight of the Bald Table” after proudly serving his 7th year.
This year’s head‑shaving event will take place at the Romeo Lion’s Club St. Baldrick’s Event on March 14, 2026, and it’s all about conquering kids’ cancer together.
How You Can Help
You can support Team Heidebreicht in several meaningful ways:
Donate Online — Every contribution, big or small, helps fund critical childhood cancer research.
Spread the Word — Share the fundraiser on social media or with friends and family to help increase impact.
Join the Team — If you’d like to sign up to participate or shave your head at this year’s event, there’s still time!
The St. Baldrick’s Foundation offers tons of fundraising inspiration — from creative event ideas to social media tips — to help teams succeed.
Why This Work Is So Important
Childhood cancers are biologically different from adult cancers, and they often require unique research and treatments. Kids facing cancer deserve therapies tailored to their needs — and that’s exactly what St. Baldrick’s funds through research grants, clinical trials, and innovation.
At Heidebreicht, we believe in community strength. When we come together to support causes like this, we’re not just raising money — we’re raising hope and giving kids and families a brighter future.
