Chevy recently announced that the mid-engine 2020 Chevrolet Corvette C8 starting price is $59,995. The price immediately establishes the latest generation of the sports car as a high-performance bargain.
The new Corvette places the engine right between the seats and the rear axle, which can help enhance the Corvette’s balance and agility. As such, it’s impressive that the Corvette C8 only has a starting price that’s about $3,000 higher than the price of the C7 Corvette Stingray.
The C8 contains a 6.2-liter V8 engine that achieves 490 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. Notable features include Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibilities, an 8-inch touch screen, dual-zone climate control, a 10-speaker Bose® audio system and power seats.
The Corvette Stingray C8 is also offered at two additional trim levels, the 2LT and 3LT, which have additional features. In addition, there’s an available Z51 Performance Package that can increase the V8 engine’s performance to 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque.
